The mission of the Education Committee is to enable CTK to become a thriving biblical community that transforms lives by growing in the grace and knowlege of our Lord Jesus Christ through Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The committee is made up of the following Ministry Teams:

Sunday School Ministry Team: responsible for all aspects of the Kid Connection Sunday School Program for children age 4 through sixth grade. Please see the Sunday School web page for more information on this fun Bible-based and interactive curriculum.

Confirmation Ministry Team: responsible for all aspects of the popular Here We Stand Confirmation Program. Confirmatin is a two-year program at CTK beginning in 7th grade. Please visit the Confirmation web page to learn more about this dynamic and engaging program.

Youth Education Ministry Team: responsible for education programs targeting Middle School and High School students. In lieu of a formal curriculum for this age group, 4 to 6 week "units" are presented on a variety of topics relevant to teens. An emphasis is placed on relationships, and maintaining the connections these young adults established during Sunday School and Confirmation at CTK.

Adult Education Ministry Team: responsible for Bible Study and Personal Wellness topics for adults of all ages. Each semester a variety of study units and guest speakers are offered. In addition, two ongoing initiatives for adult ministry include:

  • Focus on The Family's The Truth Project: based on Romans12:2 - "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." - The Truth Project is designed to equip believers with a comprehensive biblical worldview. Practically and personally, participants will be reintroduced to the truth claims of God. Lessons discuss in detail God’s design for living out the Christian worldview in daily life. Most importantly, it addresses the need to marry our actions to our core beliefs. By diligently learning, applying and trusting God’s truths in every area of our lives, we can begin to develop a deep comprehensive faith that will stand against the unrelenting tide of our culture’s non-biblical ideas. What this curriculum does is nothing short of transformational.

  • Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University: a tool that supports churches by equipping them with a biblically based accountability class that will train their congregation and community to manage God’s money and resources in a godly way.  It empowers them to make the right financial decisions to achieve their financial goals, teaching them to eliminate debt, build wealth, and give like never before.

It is our goal that a large majority of members will attend both of these courses over the next couple of years, transforming their daily lives and managing their resources in a godly way. Together these foundations will equip our members to bear much fruit for our Lord and Savior and be an influential force in our community and beyond.

Seegert Library: CTK is also blessed with a wonderful library that is fully managed by volunteers. Please visit!

Lynn Carter is the chair of the Education Committee. Please feel free to contact her at any time with questions, comments or suggestions (262.646.4571 or lmc126@gmail.com). If you feel God calling you to get connected with education at CTK, please contact Lynn. There are a variety of ways to serve, and there is no experience necessary. Your participation would be welcomed and God will richly bless your efforts!
