Our children learn by observing … watching what we do and what we do not do. What better way to train up children in the way they should go than by being involved with their Christian education! Experience the Holy Spirit at work in the lives of our children and in your life as you get connected with education at CTK. We are currently staffing volunteers for the 2009/2010 school year.
Please prayerfully consider volunteering for one or more of the Sunday School program roles described below. We need your help, and many hands make for light work. Let’s tend to the roots and start bearing some fruit for our Lord and Savior!
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Sunday School Administrator
V Collect registration forms and maintain class rosters
V Compile attendance records in the church computer system
V Print monthly calendars to be posted and sent home with parents
V Order curriculum
V Provide worksheets for grades 4-6 to be completed during family worship services (the last Sunday of the month)
Sunday School Supplies Coordinator
V Order supplies as listed in the lesson plan for each lesson in the upcoming semester
V Organize supplies for each classroom’s supply bin
V Stock the Treasure Boxes for attendance incentive awards
Large Group Director
V Coordinate all aspects of the large group lesson time, including managing music volunteers, large group lesson volunteers and related activities
V Manage large group lesson presentations (the Director may present the lessons or coordinate volunteers to present)
Sunday School Music Coordinator
V Organize and catalog all music
V Develop a calendar of music to be practiced during each large group meeting
Large Group Shepherds
V Assist with large group lesson presentations and related activities as needed
Large Group Music Directors
V Lead the music segment of the large group lesson according to the calendar prepared by the Music Coordinator
V Assist with music accompaniment by playing an instrument, or using the CD
Small Group Shepherds
V Lead the small group lesson and related activities as scripted in the leaders guide for your grade-level
V Keep accurate attendance records, and send a postcard in a timely fashion to any child that has been absent two consecutive Sundays
V Participate in large group time, watching over your flock and helping to maintain discipline and attention
Christmas Program Team
V Coordinate all aspects of the Christmas program performance including program selection (curriculum includes suggested programs), parts assignments, rehearsals, setup, performance and tear down
