CTK offers many opportunities for you to give back to our Church.  If you have time and talents that should be shared please contact Juanita Newman in the Church office. (262-646-2343)

Accolyte
Confirmation students are assigned based on first or second service preference. Instructions are received in seventh grade when beginning Confirmation classes. Light and put out altar candles, take offering from ushers, remove empty trays during communion.

Advocate Assembly
Advocate Teams (usually 6 to 8 people) collate, fold, seal, and label the newsletter during an afternoon about the 22nd or 23rd of each month.

Bulletin Stuffers
Bulletin stuffers (usually 2) assemble the bulletins for Festival services.

Communion Assistants
Assist the pastor(s) in the distribution of the bread and wine. Leave sanctuary for sacristy as the offering is being taken. In sacristy, select a white robe of proper length, put it on over your clothing, and secure with snaps and white rope tie. Enter chancel and sit on west wall bench. Pastor will assign you to either bread or wine. Place wafer, bread cube, or wine glass in hand of communicant. If distributing bread, say to each recipient, "The body of Christ given for you." If distributing wine, say to each recipient, "The blood of Christ shed for you." When all have communed, retire to sacristy, and hang robe and rope tie neatly where originally found.

Communicant Recorder
Information from the communion cards filled out by communicants is periodically put into church computer.

Coffee Servers
Sign up on calendar by Great Hall kitchen door. Leave sanctuary during closing hymn. Open accordion doors between kitchen and Great Hall. Make coffee according to instructions posted in kitchen. Place cookies in baskets. Put out tea bags, sugar, creamer, etc. Refill coffee pots/tea water as needed. Wash dishes and pots, wipe off tables in Great Hall and counters in kitchen. Put tea, sugar, baskets, etc. away.

Drivers
Assisting with youth leaders and advisors. these people over age 25 help move members of our leagues and God Squad on fellowship and service outings.

Fincancial Secretary
Records monetary gifts of all members on church computer. Gets out quarterly and annual financial reports to all church members.

Greeters
Arrive at least 15 minutes before the service begins. Stand inside the main entrance door. Ask for a name tag if you wish. Direct visitors to Guest Book, Little People, Sanctuary. Be relaxed and wear a smile. You may be seated for worship when the chimes are stilled.

Library Assistants
Work to manage the collection of books, tapes, and other resources.

Little People
This is an assignment given Confirmation students. Help supervise infants to 5 year olds during the worship service. Adult volunteer supervision is also a necessity in this program, and is relatively expected of those parents who use the program. Both student and adult volunteers assist the Little People Supervisor each Sunday and on Wednesday evenings during Lent. Report at least 15 minutes before service starting time.

Money Counters
Report to Waukesha State Bank in the Sentry store on Golf Road, usually at 9:30 a.m. on Monday of each week. Count and record on proper sheet monies received for various purposes, make out bank deposit slip, and deposit total. Head counter picks up necessary materials at church prior to going to the bank and returns same after the job is done.

Readers
Read aloud the Scripture lessons assigned for a given Sunday (these are usually the "first" and "second" lessons from the Old and New Testaments respectively). Lessons are mailed out to readers from the church office early in the week prior to the scheduled Sunday. Use whatever introduction you choose. Check with Pastor on pronunciations. Sit near the front Use the microphone.

These are organized in teams, based on first or second service preference. Each team has a "captain" to whom you report if you cannot be there on your assigned Sunday. Report to church on your assigned day at least 15 minutes before service starting time. Hand out bulletins, direct persons to pews, collect offering, direct communicants. Training classes are held twice each year, your obligation being to attend one. Teams are scheduled from 6 to 12 times a year, depending on the service preference.
