All women of Christ the King high school age and up are members of this ministry and a part of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA). We come together in many ways for support, study, growing in faith and engaging in outreach.

“THE INHERITANCE”
Beth Moore founded Living Proof Ministries in 1994 with the purpose of teaching women how to love and live on God’s Word, she has written numerous books and Bible studies. Ever the storyteller, she communicates with great energy, passion, humor, warmth, and grace.
Monday Mornings, 9:00 – 10:15, Beginning January, 16th at Christ the King Church, Room 204.
It’s Casual. Grab a girlfriend and come when you can! Just let us know so we have enough materials.

11th Annual Christian Retreat
Mt. Morris Retreat Center
October 12th-14th
Plans are in the works!
Our facilitator will be selected soon.
Mt. Morris is a beautiful retreat center and we will be in our own private lodge. Bedrooms are for two or three retreaters and each has its own private bath. Check it out at www.Mt-Morris.org (Black Oak Lodge). The lodge has its own kitchen, dining area and a gathering area complete with a fireplace. Serene nature paths are nestled in the woods and a small river runs through it. Our meals will be prepared for us and a custodian will clean up after our departure. Your bed will be made and turned down – waiting for you. We’ll have a few little surprises for you throughout the retreat.
Our dates are October 12th, 13th and 14th 2012 and the cost is $140. This includes a 2 night stay, 3 meals Saturday, 2 meals Sunday, the retreat program, and more! Please join us for a wonderful weekend to remember.
Registration space is limited to 20.

Thanks for your orders and helping us raise our 2011 Women's Ministries Funding! We have turned over $1100+ to Christ the King's Women's ministries account.

This is the once a year fund raiser to support the charitable and fellowship activities of the Women of Wonder here at Christ the King. Opportunities to help include; planning, beginning in January, preparing the order forms and distributing them (on line this year), processing orders, unloading the plants, filling orders and staffing the pick-up time,tending the extra plants for the mercy sale and of course...purchasing wonderful plants for your own gardens and pots.
Homegrown Nursery grows our plants and our sale provides income and support for their developmentally challanged clients.

After many years and thousands of beautiful quilts made and now covering people all over the world.
This dedicated group has now disbanded.
This project is ongoing through Lutheran World Relief and could regroup if any would like to start fresh.

Letutourgia Altar Guild
This group is responsible for all matters related to the preparation of proper and meaningful worship. Elaine Broberg, heads this group of six teams of two persons who take monthly turns setting up for communion and other tasks. Volunteers are welcome.

Prayer Shawl
On the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 1:00 you will find the CTK Gathering Room 206 filled with a dedicated group of knitter/crocheters of all levels busy making Prayer Shawls. These shawls are prayerfully made  with wonderfully soft yarns to be comforting reminders that God and others care about them. Shawls are presented to people we learn about from our Pastor or other members. All are welcome to join! Always willing to teach beginners!
