Michelle LaPaglia, D.M.A.
Michelle LaPaglia, with a background in keyboard instruments, is an accomplished and diversified musician, teacher, and performer, has served churches across denominations for over 20 years in the capacity of Music Director, Organist, Choir Director, Worship Leader, Keyboard/Vocalist, and Minister of Worship Activities. With her varied background she brings an ecumenical richness into worship, selecting from traditional, contemporary, European Classical, Gospel, and Global styles of music. Joining Christ the King Lutheran Church in October, 2010, she has been active in worship planning, directing the Senior Choir, formulating and mentoring instrumental ensembles and worship teams, and maintaining a concert series.
As a college professor Dr. LaPaglia has also served on the music faculties of Carthage College, as Coordinator of the Church Music Program, Alverno College, College of New Jersey, Kutztown University, and Westminster Choir College, and has appeared as Guest Lecturer/Recitalist for organizations across the country. As a professional pianist and singer she has toured throughout Europe and the United States, and maintains the position of Resident Pianist for the Delaware Valley Philharmonic, Trenton Symphony, and the Newtown Chamber Orchestras. Since relocating from New Jersey to Wisconsin in 2004 she has performed with the Marquette University Orchestra and the Festival City Symphony Orchestra, Milwaukee. As an entertainer she has provided musical entertainment for an assortment of country clubs and nursing home activities. She holds music degrees from the American Conservatory of Music, Temple University, and Wheaton College.
